A BJP meeting was held at Deobahal village of Khariar block on Saturday in the presence of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram and party State president Basant Panda.
"The objective of this meeting is to discuss about the incapable Government of Naveen Patnaik. The Congress Government ruled the State for 40 years, followed by the BJD Government, but the conditions of people have not changed" said Panda, "We have implemented the Swaminathan Committee report to give right prices of agricultural products to the farmers," he said. He added that the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre has given jobs to 12 crore people.
Oram criticised the BJD Governmet for not allowing the people of the State to get the benefits of Central scheme of health insurance. He also said the Modi Government has planned to transfer `6,000 each to people of Odisha directly to their accounts. "The Naveen Government has exceeded the Congress Government in allowing Goondaism. BJD members are ruling the roost in Government offices to take all the benefits of government programmes and public money for themselves," said Oram.
Oram and Panda encouraged party members to work tirelessly to bring the BJP back to power at the Center as well as in the State.
Other party leaders in the dais were Sanjay Tiwari, District President of BJP Krushak Morcha, Jadumani Panigrahi, party State executive member, Atindra Mallik, Sibaprashad Mund, Khamsing Majhi, Jemamani Dharua and Gitanjali Majhi.
