With a view to promote local features film throughout undivided Koraput district, the KFDS (Koraput Film Development Society) was formed.
Many renowned producers, director and actors across undivided Koraput district were present on the occasion and participated in a one-day seminar.
The workshop was attended by MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati who advised the directors and producers to work unitedly for Koraputiya's films. Bahinpati assured of all sort of helps from his side to promote films.
The day-long seminar was a great platform for all the local artists, directors and producers. Among others, Jeypore Municipality Chairman Nori Mohanty, Indira Nanda, Subash Rout and other dignitaries spoke. The office bearers of KFDS were elected to strengthen the association. While Rabindra Kumar Patro was elected as the president, R Raju and Suresh Hota were elected as vice presidents, Amar Mishra as secretary and Manoj Patnaik, Banikinkar Patnaik and Sudhir Dash as joint secretaries. The programme was coordinated by Tarun Kumar Mohapatra.
