The Marshaghai police on Thursday arrested Subash Swain alias Kalia of Badaghai village in Kendrapada district on charges of keeping physical relationship with a minor Dalit girl and recording the scene in his mobile after promising to marry her.
Marshaghai PS IIC Sukant Kumar Patra said the accused even blackmailed and collected money from the victim by showing her the porn recording. Kalia had love relationship with the Class X girl of the Tikhiri area for the last three years.
When a few months back, the girl asked Kalia to marry her, the latter spurned her request and fled from the locality. As a result, the girl’s father lodged an FIR October 12 against Kalia.
Kalia was produced before a local court and sent to jail custody as his bail plea was rejected, said the IIC.
