Kendrapada youth freed from Iraq jail

PNS

The indian Embassy  in Baghdad has asked the External Affairs Ministry to make arrangements for return of a youth of Kendrapara after he was released from a jail.

Sraban Sahoo was put in jail for six months at Hilla in Iraq for his illegal stay in the country. After the news reached home, his family members are happy.

Bharati Sahu, sister of  Sraban of Manapada village under Mahulia panchayat in Rajnagar block, had met Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda and urged him for the safe release of Sraban from Iraq jail. She told the MP that Sraban’s fault was that he was staying there even after his visa’s validity had expired.

The MP in turn had brought the matter to the knowledge of the External Affairs Minister and the Indian Embassy in Bagdad. Sraban will return India in two to three weeks.
