Kendrapada PRI members meet CM

PNS

In an affront to disgraced Kendrapada BJD MP Baijayant Panda, Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives of his constituency on Tuesday met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his house here and expressed their gratefulness to him for his Government’s Rs 200-crore mega drinking water project for people of Mahakalpada.

A day after Panda resigned from the BJD, hundreds of these representatives belonging to Mahakalpada and Marshaghai blocks met Patnaik at the Naveen Niwas.

While there is a sheer dearth of drinking water in the constituency, over a lakh of people belonging to 32 gram panchayats would be benefited once the project is completed. The larson and Tubro Company has undertaken the work, which was approved by the State Cabinet three days back. The project has been targeted to be completed in two years.

Among others, local MlA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Mahakalpada block Chairperson Sasmita Baral, Marshaghai block Chairperson Seetalata Parida, ZP Members, PRI members and other local leaders were present.
