After failing to get justice from the Rajnagar police, Sunati Mallick and her husband Bichitra Mallick of Koilipur village in Kendrapada district on Monday met SP Satish Gajbhiye and urged him to rescue their kidnapped minor daughter soon.
The couple had earlier lodged a complaint with the police that their 15-year-old daughter had been kidnapped by a youth of their village, Pabitra Mallick with help of his aides on March 25.
Bichitra told the SP that though the Rajnagar police had registered a case yet they have not taken any step to rescue their daughter. In response, the SP is understood to have assured them that steps would be soon taken to rescue their daughter and arrest the culprits.
When contacted, Rajnagar PS IIC Bijay Mallick said the police have not succeeded in nabbing the accused and rescuing the girl as they have fled from the locality to a distant place.
