PNS

The Kellogg India Pvt ltd will provide cornflake with milk to the 25,000 tribal students of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) here in their daily breakfast free of cost as per a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the KISS and the Kellogg India in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The Kellogg India took this decision after it was impressed with the iKISS that provides education from KG to PG, healthcare, food and accommodation to thousands of tribal students absolutely free. The MoU was signed by Shalini Bijaya Gopalan of Kellogg and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta.

As a part of the Kellogg’s corporate social responsibility (CSR), this programme will start from April 11. The company will also provide a bowl and a spoon to every student for their breakfast.

The KISS, the world’s largest free residential tribal institute, lays utmost importance on providing nutritious and hygienic food to its students. The institute has its own water filtration plant through the reverse osmosis process.  “It will be a record to provide breakfast to 25,000 students by any single company and we are happy by providing this to KISS students,” said Gopalan after signing the MoU. Dr. Samanta thanked the Kellogg India for the kind gesture.
