K’pada girl gets job offer from Amazon

RAJESH BEHERA

Meet Shraddha Nayak (22), daughter of Brigadier Kshirod Kumar Nayak of Gulnagar village under Kendrapada block. She has won laurels from all quarters for getting job of software engineer from Amazon, USA.

From childhood she was a meritorious student and a hard working girl. Though she toiled hard in pursing her education due to frequent transfer of her father leading to many breaks in her academic study, but she accepted challenges with both hands to reach to her goal, her uncle Laxmikant Nayak said. She completed her 12th standard from Sanskriti School in New Delhi, which paved her way to success in her formidable years. After secondary education, Shraddha completed B Tech from Army Institute of Technology, Pune.  Though she picked a good placement on campus, she wanted to go for higher studies. She managed to get an opportunity to work for a software company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she worked for two years. Having earned a considerable amount of work experience, she wanted to grasp more knowledge in her chosen field of technology and did her Master of Science (Equivalent to Master in Technology in India), from San Jose State University in California, USA. Pursuing higher studies from a foreign institution presented a lot of challenges for her. Being first in her family to go abroad for studies, she had to manage everything on her own which inadvertently made her more independent and responsible.  After two years of Master’s, she completed course with good marks in May 2021, stated Brigadier Kshirod Kumar Nayak. One of world’s tech giants Amazon offered job to  Shraddha with an annual package of about Rs 80 lakh.
