Justice BP Ray of the Kerala High Court has been transferred to the Odisha High Court, official sources said on Thursday. Born on March 2, 1955, Ray obtained a degree in law from the Utkal University law College in Bhubaneswar.
He started his practice in 1979 in Constitutional law, civil and criminal law and taxation law. He also served as Additional Standing Counsel of Commercial Taxes for three years. He was sworn in as an Additional Judge of the Odisha High Court on November 7, 2007 before being transferred to the Kerala High Court, where he was sworn in as a judge on October 28, 2010.
