Justice Raghunath Biswal on Saturday took charge as Chairman of the Odisha State Commission for Backward Classes (OSCBC).
Besides, three others, Dr Navneeta Rath, Mitali Chinara and Prasanna Kumar, took charge as Members of the OSCBC.After assuming office, Justice Biswal said a database of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the State would be prepared soon. Left-out eligible castes would be included in the list while those to be found socially and economically developed would be excluded.
“We will implement the reservation on the recommendations of Mandal Commission. The OSCBC will submit its report to the State Government after conducting a socioeconomic caste survey,” he said.
