The Jagatsinghpur Zilla Parishad held its general body meeting here on Saturday with its president Devi Datta Mohanty chairing the event. Attending the meeting, several ZP members, MlAs, BDOs and district administration officials emphasised on supply of drinking water to water-scarcity areas and construction of roads in remote villages in the district.
The agendas of discussions in meeting were progress of the MGNREGA, irrigation facility, paddy procurement, child and health care services, etc. Many ZP members raised several concerns of their localities and sought immediate solutions.
Besides, MlAs Chiranjeev Biswal, Prashant Muduli and Rajashree Mallick, representatives of Minister Damodar Rout and MP Kulamani Samal, Collector SK Mallick read out the overall performance of the Zilla Parishad and presented various developmental works to be undertaken by the ZP in coming days.
