A case was filed on First Judicial Court of Kujang against Anirudha Routray former IIC of Abhaychandpur Police Station of Jagatsinghpur on March 1for not receiving an FIR and rampant corruption.
On June 2, 2015 one miner girl was raped by Tukuna Mandal. The girl’s family lodged an FIR against accused Mandal on June 3, 2015. But, Routray, the then IIC of Abhayachandpur Police Station, refused to receive the FIR and instead gave protection to the culprit.
But the raped girl is a Dalit. So the Dalit Mahasangha women wing complained against the IIC to the Women Commission, the Chief Minister, the DG police and the SC/ ST Commission. Under pressure, IIC Routray lodged a fake FIR prepared by himself on behalf of the raped girl with thumb impression.
But, Dalit Mahasangh women wing president Jayanti Bhoi told mediapersons that lest the girl, who is educated, should know that her signature has been forged, Routray put thumb impression on it.
So the Mahasangh again complained against Routray before the DG Police, the IG Police, the Chief Minister and the Women Commission but no action has been taken till date. So a petition was filed at Kujang Court against the IIC.
Sources said that Routray is a corrupted officer who has partnership business with local goons and tender mafia. Routray has 10 to 15 dumpers and loaders working at the Paradip refinery project.
