The Jagatsinghpur district administration has taken initiative with regard to return the chit fund depositors’ money in district.
Basing on the chit fund commission’s reports 1 and 2, the victim investors have been asked to furnish documents before the Tehsildars by December 31, 2019, an official Press release said on Saturday.
Many chit fund companies have swindled hundreds of crores of rupees from a large number of gullible depositors, some of whom have approached the chit fund commission seeking return of their money.
Meanwhile after considering depositors’ pleas, the commission has directed returning of money of small depositors. Official reports have not disclosed the number of depositors to be benefited. The depositors have been directed to furnish indemnity bonds, bank details and credential certificates before the Tehsildars. After the fixed dateline, no claim would be entertained, the Press release warned.
