Continuing protest against candidature of Prasant Muduli for the Jagatsingpur Assembly seat, thousands of BJD activists moved in a rally from Gopal Sagar to the Biju Patnaik chhak in Jagatsinghpur town on Wednesday.
The activists demanded that BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik soon cancel the ticket of Prasant Muduli and field Jagatsingpur BYJD president Amarendra Das instead. The activists garlanded the statue of Bijubabu on reaching the Biju Patnaik chhak.
BJD activists from Jagatsinghpur block, Naugaon block and Jagatsinghpur town participated in the rally.
Among others, BJD district vice-president Dipti Das, block president Monoj Bhoi, Minati Das, Madhu Sudarn Sahoo, Dola Gobinda Das, Sarpanch Chitaranjan Roul, Bhramarbar Sahoo, Rangadhar Bhoi, Swarup Mohanty, Ansar Alli, ZP member Manju Mallick, Kiranbala Sasmal, Bilasini Debi, Subal Behera, Naugao block president Sujit Mallick, working president Prabhu Charan Das, Kalandi Pati, Ajaya Swain and Aranya Nayak participated.
