Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 1.32 lakh from a businessman at gunpoint at Tiruna on the Dabara- Naugaon road on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Aswani Sahoo from Madhuri Bazar, who was returning from Gangada market after collecting cash from vendors. All of a sudden, three motor cycle born miscreants intercepted his bike and snatched the cash bag by brandishing a gun before him.
Inspector in charge (IIC) Naugaon police station Pragyain Ritambar Kar said a manhunt has been launched to trace the miscreants. “It seems to be a pre-planned operation in which the outlaws were following movements of the business man. We are questioning the victim and taking clues from him to expedite the probe,” IIC Kar informed.
