The TRB Iron Ore Mines of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) in Tensa has extended support to Fani-affected people by sending 50,000 litres of drinking water to Puri district.
Under direct supervision of EVP and TRB Mines Head Pramod Kumar Patra, the water bottles were handed over to the Puri Collector.
Patra said, “Post cyclone, all water bodies in the affected areas got contaminated and people need potable water. As a humanitarian gesture, we have extended our support.”
Earlier, the JSPL Foundation had provided one lakh cooked meals to Fani victims in Puri. Besides, it also provided rice, dal and vegetables for 5,000 meals for people in Puri town.
The materials were handed over to local volunteers by JSPL executive VP and group head (CSR, Education and Sustainability) Prashant Kumar Hota.
