In recognition of its excellence in best practice in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), the Pellet Plant of the JSPl in Barbil has been awarded with the TPM Excellence Category ‘A’ Award by the Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) at Kyoto, Japan. JSPl, Barbil EVP and Unit Head TS Shanbhogue received the award on behalf of the company on March 23. Shanbhogue said TPM has great importance and significance in pellet plants to ensure high level of operational and maintenance effectiveness.
The Pellet Plant has been selected for this international award after two stage audits by the JIPM Assessors, who had visited the plant in July and December 2015.
