The Jindal Steel & Power limited Barbil unit has been conferred with the Global Environment Platinum Award-2015 for its outstanding contribution in pollution reduction and environment management.
Company EVP & Unit Head TS Shanbhogue, EVP (Environment) Dr JK Soni and GM (Environment Management) Dr RC Rout received the award from the Energy and Environment Foundation during the 6th World Renewable Energy Technology Congress: International Renewable Energy Conference & Expo in New Delhi on Sunday.
The conference was organised by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, United Nation Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation.
The award was received in the presence of Dr Gustav Grob, President, International Sustainable Energy Organisation, Switzerland and Anil Razdan, Chairman, Energy & Environment Foundation, among others.
