With the arrest of Brijnarayan Singh, security guard of the Ariya Steel stockyard on Saturday, the Joda police have so far nabbed three accused in connection with the iron pellet theft case.
Previously, Ashok Kumar Sahoo, husband of Barbil Municipality Vice-Chairperson and Bimlesh Kumar, a staff of the stockyard of the company, had been arrested.
Police sources said the other culprits, including the dumper driver, the payload operator and local youths, involved in the scam have absconded and the police are keeping constant watch on their movements to nab them.
Source close to Ariya Steel GM Parvesh Pandey revealed that after the arrest of the two staffs of the company, there has been an atmosphere of fear among innocent employees. He hoped that if real culprits are arrested then truth can be unfolded.
