JK Papers started in Rayagada as a nursery has now grown into a mammoth tree. It must establish a centre of excellence in Rayagada as part of its greater social responsibility towards development of the backward district, said South Western Range IGP Yasovant Singh Jethwa while inaugurating JK Company’s 130th Foundation Day celebration at JK Pur.
He further said, “We all need to agree that JK Group has made commendable efforts in establishing mega enterprises inside different parts of the country and abroad like hospitals and universities, etc.
On this auspicious day, each of its workers should go beyond mutual applause, appreciation and commemoration and introspect on what way he or she has contributed to his organisation and the nation.” General Manager (P & IR) GP Mishra delivered the welcome address. PK Suri were on the dais. The guests and representatives of JKPM officers, workers, various unions such as Sudhir Kumar Das, G Gandhi Naidu, V Sivudu Naidu, CR Mohanty, A Tirupati Rao, Narayan Pedenti, PV Ramana Rao garlanded and paid homage to JK’s founding father late Kamalapatji Singhania.
Suri in his presidential address explained the present activities of the JK Paper mill including its CSR initiatives and collaboration in various Government schemes.
