As the Government is planning more and more to reach to the people and provide information relating to public welfare through many means, but at Jeypore Sub-Registry office, the scenario is somewhat different. People are seen, moving from office to office, asking queries and finding little help.
When the Revenue and Disaster Management department had made it compulsory to display in the boards about the fees and tariffs but it is not followed here. Even people don’t find any help desk to ask there queries.
Koraput being a tribal dominated area, a large number of people are using their thumb impression as a mode of signature. They move from one place to another asking there queries. There is a demand that in such an area the Government should take some immediate action and should set up some machinery to resolve the issue and as people are coming from faraway places.
The absence of the Registrar is really pathetic and many people face hardship of having to return empty-handed without getting their work done. The Registrar is often found out of station without handing over the charge to his subordinate.
