Information and Public Relations Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak on Monday said the Jayadev Bhavan would be renovated and security system would be tightened around it soon.
The Minister while visiting the State’s first meeting hall said security system around it needs to be tightened as it is being extensively used for meetings, exhibitions and cultural programmes daily and being visited by VVIPs most of the time.
Special attention would be given to put a safer power system in the building so that no electric-related mishap would happen, he said
He asked concerned officials to prepare a master plan for renovation of the building. The renovation works would include setting up a strong fire extinguisher, uninterrupted air conditioning system, computerization of its library and a special rest room for the VVIPs. I&PR Secretary Madhusudan Padhi, Works Secretary Nalini Kanta Pradhan, I&PR Director Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra and the Works Department Chief Engineer were present.
