The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notice and sought a report from the Director General of Police (DGP) within four weeks over murder of a Muslim youth in Jatni area under Bhubaneswar Police Commissionerate.
According to petitioner Akhand, one Saddam Hussain Khan (22) of Benapanjari under Jatni Police limits was found dead on November 27, 2013 at his house. The family members buried the dead body in Kabaristan after holding consultation with villagers in the presence of police. later, family members suspected it as a murder case as there was many injury signs in the body while the floor of house was too found blooded. After 10 days of the incident Police detained a person in the case and called the family members of the victim to lodge an FIR and then registered a case.
