Kabita Rani Das, Community Organiser, Jatni Municipality, has been arrested by Vigilance police for taking bribe of Rs 15,000.As per her previous demand, Das took the bribe from Kabita Mallick, Cashier of Maa Jagosari SSG, Ranganisahi in Khurda district, to recommend for sanction of a loan Rs 3 lakh for cultivation of mushroom by the SSG (self-help group).
Das was caught red-handed by Vigilance officers in her rented house at Balichaka Sahi, Jatni, while she was accepting the bribe Mallick. Das was forwarded to court, from where remanded to judicial custody August 22.
