PNS

The Jana Kalyan Trust led by its president Mukund Dash has helped a hapless child, Lipun Bag (9), at Ambapali village under Bargarh block, who met with an accident and had one of his hands broken.

The trust helped in hospotalising the victim and incurring all expenses for his surgery and other treatments. Over Rs 50,000 was expended in his treatment. The trust has also created awareness on blood donation, HIV-related issues and worked for leprosy patients, for which former Governor MC Bhandare had felicitated it.

The trust also works for people’s awareness about different welfare activities of the State and Central Governments. Many young men and women are joining the trust as they find it to be a better platform to serve people.

Menaka Bag, who is the chief of women cell of the trust, and secretary Reetanjali Dash were present at the hospital during Bag's treatment.
