The Jajpur District and Sessions Judge on Wednesday sentenced a 42-year-old man, Babadev Sahoo, to 15 years of imprisonment for raping a minor girl three years ago.
Besides, the court slapped a fine of `20,000 on him. Sahoo had raped a nine-year-old girl at Kulaharipur village under the Barachana police station in the district on March 3, 2012. Pronouncing the verdict, the District Session Judge convicted Sahoo under Section-376 of the IPC.
