Actress Minakh Swain hailing from Naugaon block in the district here brought casting couch allegations against opera troupe manager Manoj Nayak on Wednesday. She approached the Jagatsinghpur Superintendent of Police for security.
“I am receiving death threats from Manoj Nayak and his associates. They have been pressurising me to withdraw the case,” she alleged before police.
She further questioned how police let off Nayak from police station.
A woman organisation taking up the cause of the victim also demanded justice to her. Its president Milan Jena informed that the victim had lodged an FIR against Indrabhuban Opera group manager Manoj Nayak in Cuttack Sadar police station. The police had picked up the accused but later let him off.
