Ahead of the Nabakalebar Yatra and annual Rath Yara, the International Society for Jagannath Consciousness (ISJC) in association with New Delhi-based cultural organization ODIA PUA will hold a nationwide yatra to spread Jagannath consciousness.
The Nabakalebar Yatra, with decorated tableaux carrying the trinity symbolically depicting the philosophy of lord Jagannath, will start from New Delhi on May 1 and culminate on June 14, just before the Nabakalevar festival at Puri.
Anybody, irrespective of caste, religion and sex, can join in the move/procession in his/her own area and ensure participation of others. Participants may organise cultural programmes in welcoming the tableaux and organize spiritual talks as a part of the yatra.
The devotees can follow the tableaux in their own vehicles like cars, buses and motorcycles etc. To register names for participation in the yatra, one can contact odiapuadelhi@gmail.com, or telephone at 09899808330/ 011-26503518.
