Shree Shree Jagannath Pancharatra, a five-day awareness event on lord Jagannath which was being celebrated at the lord Jagannath Temple, Joda concluded on Friday.
Gajapati Maharaj Dibyasingh Dev had inaugurated the programme on September 21. He said the Skandha Purana, written by Vyasadev, describes facts about the construction of lord Jagannath Temple, Puri. The programme was aimed at spreading facts about lord Jagannath and popularising the Jagannath culture among people.
Shri Shri Sachidananda Das Maharaj, chairman of Jhanjpitha Matha, Puri had conceptualised this programme. He delivered ‘Pvavachan’ in evening hours of all the five days. Dr Bhaskar Mishra, OSD of the temple administration spoke on importance of Nabakalebar. The programme was organised under the leadership of Dr AK Das, president of Jagannath Seva Samiti Joda. Among others, Manoranjan Das, Milan Rathore and BD Sahoo provided support.
