'It's conspiracy to hide truth'

PNS

Noted social activist and Maa Ghar chief Rutuparna Mohanty on Tuesday alleged that the State Government, police and doctors have hatched a conspiracy to cover up the “gruesome Kunduli minor girl gangrape case”.  “The police don’t want to have a rift with the Central security forces and, hence, are not conducting a proper probe. So, the doctors’ report was made false,” Mohanty told The Pioneer.

To corroborate her allegations, Mohanty put some posers asking the Union Government and State Governments to answer in the public.

“If the 14-year-old victim was not raped as per the doctors’ report then for what disease she was undergoing treatment in hospital for so many days,” she wanted to know.

She also asked why the girl’s statement was recorded in court under Section 164 of CrPC 16 long days after the incident. Why Central forces deployed in the region were not interrogated and why a sketch of an accused, whom the victim says to recognise, was not drawn and published.

Mohanty alleged that the police have not seized the original dress the girl had worn during the crime.

She also wanted to know why the police revealed to the girl’s family members about the contents in the medical report which is ought to be submitted to a magistrate though investigating police.

“Doctors have been pressurised to make a false report so that the incident can be termed as false,” said Mohanty.

She said the girl had narrated her plight and traumatic condition to her recently and said that she could recognise one of the “rapists” who had a black mole under one of his eyes.

“The girl should be given justice at the earliest,” demanded Mohanty.
