The 38th foundation day of the ISKCON temple was observed with much fervour on Sunday. Srila Prabhupada had laid the foundation stone of the temple on this Nityananda Trayodashi Tithi in 1977.
A series of programmes were organised for the celebrations that ended on Monday. An Astaprahari Adhibas was held on Saturday evening while 24-hour Namajajnya was held next day. After Gurupuja and Darshan Arati, glorification of Nityananda Prabhu was done by American Sanyasi Srimad Murali Krishna Swami Maharaj. Around 1000 ISKCON devotees thronged the place and took Prasad.
Temple co-presidents Sripad Premananda Das and Rasikananda Das, vice-presidents Kasinath Pandit Das and Satwatapati, ex-President Dhruba Maharaj Das and temple Festival Committee Chairman Upendra Mishra Das coordinated the programme.
