Senior IPS officer Santosh Bala has an abiding passion for gardening. And her IPS officer spouse Sanjeeb Panda is equally a garden buff.
No wonder, for a third successive year, their garden has been adjudged as the Best Large Private Garden and the Best Landscaped Garden in Bhubaneswar by the Regional Plant Resources Centre here.
Sanjeeb Panda, who is presently the State’s Transport Commissioner, posted on his Facebook Page, "Your best Competitor is only You"
The couple won the awards this year in the State-Level Flower Show held at the Ekamra Kanan on Saturday and Sunday.
Dr Bala’s green landscape has ornamental plants such as asparagus, philodendron, ferns, foliage, fruit trees and varieties of flowers. She also has waterfalls, statues and fountains to add beauty to the premises.
Both IPS officers religiously devote at least two hours in a day to take care of their garden.
