Many investors duped by the Palei Service Cooperative Society Mini Bank on Tuesday staged a dharna in front of the Cuttack Central Cooperative Bank ltd, Chandol branch demanding return of their hard-earned deposited money. later, the IIC of the Kendrapada Sadar police station and the manager of the Cuttack Central Cooperative Bank ltd, Chandol branch discussed with the agitators and assured them to look into their demands within 15 days.
Notably, the Derabish police had earlier arrested Prafulla Samal, the secretary of the cooperative society and cashier Himanshu Sekhar Parida for duping investors of lakhs of rupees.
