The Railways is fully responsible for the Bahanaga accident for taking adequate safety measures and the Union Railway Minister must resign, he said.

However, Khuntia after visiting the Baleswar District Headquarters Hospital praised the locals of Bahanaga area, the NGOs, the volunteers, the doctor, the medical students the Central and State Government and said they have done their job well.

He also demanded financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh should be paid to the families of those killed in the mishap.
