The Subhadra Art Gallery and the Artfair magazine will hold an international fair named “Bhubaneswar International Art Fair 2018” in the first week of December 2018.
Bhubaneswar Art Fair Committee chairman Dr Surya Rath said the proposed art fair would create a close link among art, artists and common people. Paintings, sculptor, installations, video art, photography, literature, social deliberations and performance art would be held under one roof, he said.
More than 200 artists from across the world would participate. More than 50 galleries for country artists and 12 galleries for internal artists would be put up.
As an advance preparation, a painting exhibition would be held in the Subhadra Gallery premised on Mahatma Gandh’s death anniversary on January 30. A seminar of Gandhiji’s life would also be held. Preparations have already begun for the purpose, said Gallery director Ashok Nayak and Sriyakant Patnaik.
