Increments of HMs, teachers stopped

PNS

The State Government has decided to stop the annual increments of headmasters and other teachers of the schools which reported poor results in the annual Matric examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education this year.

In a letter to all District Education Officers (DEOs), the Government has instructed them to stop the annual increments of the headmasters and concerned teachers of high schools with zero results or less than 50-per cent results in the Matric examinations.

The DEOs have also been asked to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the headmasters and teachers.

Notably, as many as 82 high schools had secured zero results in the examinations.
