Income, caste certificates now at lok Seva Kendra

With the notion of ensuring better services, the district administration has decided that different kinds of certificates like income, caste and domicile certificates would be released only on applications submitted at lok Seva Kendra within a time-frame at Tehsil headquarters of Bastar district.

This was decided during a meeting chaired by District Collector Amit Kataria. He instructed officers of the Revenue Department to quickly inform all Tehsildars about the decision.

The Collector also directed to adopt the same procedure for issuing birth, death, marriage and shop registration certificate by the Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation.  Kataria asked Commissioner of Jagdalpur Municipal Corporation to get cases of cheating registered against colonisers, who have not provided services promised to their customers.

Taking note of the progress of Super Specialty Hospital under construction in Jagdalpur, the Collector asked Executive Engineer, Public Works Department (PWD) to pace up construction works.   Over lok Suraaj Abhiyan, the mega public relation drive of the State Government, Kataria was informed about different camps being run at cluster level.

He told district level  officers to regularly visit those camps. “Information  about various announcements made by public representatives and demands kept forward by people of areas  during ‘lok Suraaj Abhiyan’ should be quickly conveyed to district administration so  that swift action could  be taken in that direction,”  he said.
