The Nikhil Odisha Paika Mahasangha demanded that State Government introduce textbooks on life history of legendary Biju Patnaik in the school curriculum.
Mahasangha State convenor Ashok Kumar Paltasingh said by doing so, it would be the biggest tribute to Bijubabu. He also said Biju Patnaik’s knowledge and tolerant attitude has created history in different parts of the world.
Paltasingh said at every place in the State, Bijubabu’s statues are found but students of the new generation don’t know about his heroic deeds.
And if in the textbooks on history chapters on Biju Patnaik are introduced from Class-I to X, the students would be able to know about him, he added.
