Signature campaign against gender-based violence
Bhubaneswar: To sensitise people to end gender-based violence on on the eve of 16 days of activism against such violence, City-based voluntary organisation Centre for Child and Women Development (CCWD), the Bhubaneswar Young Urban Forum and the ActionAid organised a signature campaign at the venue of the Patha Utsav here on Sunday. ActionAid regional manager Debabrata Patra, Ghasiram Panda, BN Durga and CCWD secretary Sadasiv Swain were present.
SNEH observes AIDS Day at Salia Sahi
Bhubaneswar: The Society for Nature, Education and Health (SNEH) organised a programme at Salia Sahi here on the occasion of World AIDS Day on Saturday. SNEH volunteers staged a skit on the menace of AIDS among urban migrant population and organised a quiz programme to sensitise the slum dweller on HIV/AIDS. SNEH advisor Subas Panda inaugurated the programme and Prasant Pradhan conducted the quiz. Akshay Mishra, Dibakar Mahali and Blessina Nayak coordinated the programme.
