Ashwini Vaishnaw takes oath in RS in Odia
New Delhi: Odisha BJP MP Ashwini Vaishnaw took oath in Odia language in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. The oath of office and secrecy was administered to him by Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu. BJD-supported BJP nominee Vaishnaw and BJD candidates Amar Patnaik and Sasmit Patra were elected unopposed to the Upper House of Parliament from Odisha in by-polls held recently.
Aswini Pujahari resigns from Congress
Sambalpur: Former VIMSAR Director Aswini Pujahari has resigned from the primary membership of the Congress. He had joined the Congress in March and unsuccessfully contested from the Sambalpur Assembly constituency as a party candidate in the last elections. About his resignation, Pujahari said he was humiliated and abused by some Congress workers at a review meeting held at the District Congress Committee office here on June 26. Asked whether he would join any other party, Pujahari said he would take a decision in this regard later.
