A 23-year-old youth, Satyajit Das, of Punanga village near here was killed when his bike fell into a canal on Friday night.
Satyajit, after having a feast at Badabaga village with friends, was returning but did not reach home.
His family members contacted his friends, who informed that he had left for home after the feast. Strangely, Satyajit’s body was spotted at Bagasahi floating in the Machhgaon canal.
His bike was recovered from the spot on Saturday morning. Police rushed to the spot and brought the body for postmortem and basing on the family’s information registered a case. Investigation was on, informed Jagatsinghpur police station IIC PC Sahoo.
