Anukul Chandra’s birthday celebrated
Champua: The 131st birthday of Anukul Chandra was celebrated at Joda Satsang Vihar on Sunday. Starting from early morning, rituals like prayer, Nagar Parikrama of Thakur, Luxim Maa, Dada by chariot, Jajan, Ananda Bazar (Prasad Seva), etc., were performed. Devotees in large numbers from surrounding locations attended the ceremony. Hrushikesh Behera, Ashok Kumar Panigrahi, Bhagwan Giri and Madhusudan Parida, among others, coordinated the programme under the leadership of Madan Mohan Barik, secretary of Joda Satsang Vihar.
JSPL observes Safety Week
Angul: The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) Angul observed the National Safety Week with a series of sensitisation programmes targeted towards employees, workers and community members in and around the plant. Angul Factories and Boilers Assistant Director Umakant Samontroy, JSPL COO Pankaj Gautam and ED (Maintenance) Suresh Kumar attended as guests. Administering the safety oath, Gautam said that the JSPL follows global standard safety norms and thrives to achieve the target of ‘zero accident’. On the occasion, winners of different competitions were awarded.
IFFCO observes Safety Week
Paradip: The IFFCO Paradip Unit observed the 48th National Safety Week holding various programmes to aware employees and contractor workers. Safety talks were delivered by the heads of different departments. A Safety Chariot (Surkshya Rath) was taken out and leaflets were distributed to create public awareness. Factories and Boilers (Safety) Deputy Director Dr Malay Pradhan, Paradip Zone Assistant Director Chandrakant Dalai attended as guests on the concluding day. Among others, unit Head KJ Patel, GM (Technical) C Santosh, JGM (E and S) JP Srivastava, DGM (P and A) AK Malla, DGM (HR) GC Acharya, Manager (Fire and Safety) SK Kamble and PRO Prasanna Kumar Beura were present.
Safety Week observed at PPL
Paradip: The Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL) observed the 48th National Safety Week conducting different activities like safety oath taking, launching Surakshya Rath, holding signature campaign, quiz and skit. Factory and Deputy Director Dr Malaya Pradhan and Assistant Director Chandrakant Dalai attended as guests. Among others, PPL COO Ranjit Singh Chugh and CGM (Operations) Pranab Bhattacharya were present. More than 120 winners in different competitions were felicitated. DGM (Fire and Safety) Nihar Kanti Rout conducted the programme.
GKEL observes Safety Week
Dhenkanal: The GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL) observed the 48th National Safety Week with series of awareness programmes among employees, workers and community members in and around the plant. On the valedictory ceremony, Angul Factories and Deputy Director Abani Nayak, GKEL CEO (Thermal) Prabir Kumar Majumdar, COO Ramesh R Pai and head (O and M) Arabinda Pani attended as guests. Nayak advised the management to continue its sustainability of zero incidents. On the occasion, winners of different competitions were awarded, posters on industrial and road safety were displayed and a street play was staged.
