'Implement retirement age limit hike from Jan'

PNS

The Deprived Retired Government Employees’ Parishad has demanded that like Andhra Pradesh, the Odisha Government’s decision to increase the age limit for retirement of Government employees be implemented with effect from January 2014 instead of June.

Notably, the State Government has increased the retirement age limit of Government employees from 58 to 60 years with effect from June. However, the decision has spread large-scale discontentment among the Government employees, who have been retired during January-May, 2014. The body has also submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, requesting him to take a fair decision in this regard.

Besides, the body has also requested all the deprived employees, who have been retired during the period to support in its upcoming programmes by contacting its president Kailash Chandra Choudhury and Secretary lingaraj Mohanty through mobile numbers 9437132009 and 9437307749, respectively.
