leading industrial house IMFA has “unequivocally” denied Union Minister Srikant Jena’s recently reported allegation of illegal and excess mining against the company.
An IMFA Press release has stated, “It is unfortunate that we are being singled out when similar allegations have also been made and cases filed against several companies which operate mines in Odisha including Tata Steel, Jindal Stainless, etc, and OMC which is State PSU.”
“Needless to say, the timing of and the motive behind this singular focus can only be attributed to the upcoming elections. We have full faith in the judicial process and are confident we will be vindicated. Since the matter is sub-judice, we would like to refrain from commenting further and appeal to the public not to be misled by attempts to politicise the matter,” the IMFA release added.
