Police on Saturday unearthed an illegal gun-manufacturing factory in the district and arrested a person in this connection. The cops seized two guns and a huge quantity of materials used for manufacturing arms.
The arrestee was identified as Kuna Pradhan, a resident of Sriniketa village of the district.
The clandestine unit was operating from a house located near a jungle at Dandima village under the Daringbadi police station in the Maoist-infested district.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid at the house and seized the guns and other materials
But two associates of Kuna managed to give the police a slip. Raids were on at various locations to nab the two fugitives, police said.
