While addressing mediapersons on Thursday, Congress candidate for Sundargarh Parliament seat and sitting MP Hemanand Biswal expressed his confidence that the voters would again give him a chance in the coming elections considering his performance of last five years.
He also assured to complete the incomplete projects including the much-hyped second Brahmani bridge, expansion of NH-143, SH-10 and many more.He further assured of completion of Talcher-Bimlagarh railway line, linking the district headquarters with new train lines, construction of a bridge -cum-barrage at the meeting place of rivers Shankha and Koel.
He said his party’s motto is development and it believes in integrity, sovereignty and secularism.Expressing his unhappiness over the decision of establishment of proposed ESIC Medical College and Hospital at Bhubaneswar instead of at Rourkela, he said his fight for the interest of Sundargarh would continue and very soon a dental college with nursing and pharmacy school by ESIC would be established here and gradually that would be upgraded to an MBBS college with super specialist hospital.
He further said the construction of the propped NTPC medical college hospital at Sundargarh would be completed as soon as possible. On a question of defection of many Congress leaders, including the DCC chief and the Youth Congress chief, to other parties, Biswal said it was a common phenomenon during the election time.
“It happens in every party,” he said. But the leaders who have defected to other parties are not going against him and sooner or later they will again come back to the Congress, asserted Biswal.
