Technical Education and Training Director Bishnu Prashad Sahoo on Monday visited to the two sites identified for the proposed Indian Institute of Management (IIM), acting on the five-point poser of the Centre. The Director visited Brahmanipali, Basantpur near Goshala and Neeldungri to visit the sites which have been identified for the permanent campus.
later the Director held a meeting with the RDC (Northern Division) and Sambalpur Collector. The State Government needs to send its reply to the Centre on June 5. Meanwhile, demanding IIM in Sambalpur BJD leaders led by local MlA Raseswari Panigrahi staged a demonstration in front of RDC office. “Why the Centre does not send its team for physical visit to SambalpurIJ Instead of writing letters to the State, the Centre should send a team to Sambalpur at the earliest,” said the MlA.
