Director General of Police (DGP) KB Singh on Fridayinformed that the Odisha police would move court seeking remand of Korra Gasi alias Jhansi (27), one of the abductors of the then Malkangiri Collector R Vineel Krishna on remand for interrogation.
“We will bring Jhansi on remand and will move court in this regard soon,” said DGP Singh. The woman rebel Jhansi of Koyyuru along with two other Maoists, Maoist militia members Buturi Appa Rao (45) and Velusuri lakshmaiah (30), on Thursday surrendered before the Visakhapatnam police in Andhra Pradesh.
She was carrying an Rs 4 lakh cash reward on her head. The reward amount would be given to her, said the Visakhapatnam SP.
As many as 24 cases are pending against her at different police stations in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
