Hundreds of social activists under the banner of the Campaign Against Child labour (CACl) Odisha and the Centre for Child and Women Development (CCWD) Bhubaneswar organised a human chain to mark the World Day Against Child labour here on Monday to sensitise different stakeholders as well as duty-bearers for a child labour-free State.
CACl State convener Sudhir Sabat said that after 21 years, the Odisha Government is going to hold child labour survey, but it is also going to be a big failure as the old procedure is being followed.
If the Government does not take child tracking at the village level, the move would not be successful as there is no coordination between the labour, Women and Child Development, Panchayati Raj and SC and ST Development Departments during the survey, Sabat added.
