A three-year-and-six-month-old girl student of the Budhipali Anganwadi Centre at lahunipara in Sundargarh district was admitted at the lahunipara CHC in critical condition on Saturday after hot water fell on her when an assistant cook of the Anganwadi centre was throwing the water. lipika Oram was going by the side when the assistant cook went out of the kitchen to throw hot water after boiling potatoes. The water fell on her thigh of right leg. Her health condition is stated to be stable now.
The supervisor of the Anganwadi centre has served show cause notice to the assistant cook. “We are enquiring the matter and will take appropriate action against the assistant cook for his negligence,” said CDPO Darshani Ekka.
